Senior Project Manager: 19 Years
With my 19th anniversary rapidly approaching, I cannot imagine working with a better team of individuals that are more customer focused and detail oriented. Every project is different and a challenge in its own way which makes for a “never a dull moment” work environment and a constant chance to come together as a team for what is hopefully a fantastic customer experience.
Estimator: 20 Years
Duke has always provided job security, good working environment, good leader ship through Jack Hake along with others in leadership roles, room for improvement and a willingness to place employees in roles which best suit Duke and the employee, good insurance which includes medical, dental,vision, and Aflac, good 401 k retirement package, flex account, incentive programs, substantial paid holidays, education reimbursement and Duke employs a good class of people who have a good team attitude. Not only has Duke provided a good living for me and my wife over the last 20 years, but also for two others that work here because of my referral and the willingness of Duke to give them a shot. Duke’s willingness to promote from within has proved to work very well in my case. I am a proud member of Duke Manufacturing. I take great pride in my work knowing that I work for an upstanding company that stands behind the products and services it offers. Ever since I started working here almost 20 years ago I have never looked for, nor have I even thought about seeking employment elsewhere. I feel I have grown with Duke and I also feel that Duke values me as an employee!
International Customer Service Manager: 14 Years
A friend recommended Duke to me in the summer of 2000. I was the Assistant Director at a Day Care facility at the time, but was ready to move on to something more challenging. I started at Duke as the receptionist and remember how overwhelming the switchboard seemed at the time. I look back and smile now, that, that was my biggest challenge each day. I quickly realized I wanted to do more and in less than a year was moved into a position in order entry. I was given an opportunity in order entry to learn a lot about the business. I entered, Core Duke orders, supported Subway order entry, as well as filled in for parts order entry. As Duke began to grow globally for Subway, I grew as well. I worked with our facility in the UK shortly after it opened and soon to follow was our facility in the Czech Republic. I was given an incredible opportunity on several occasions to travel to our UK and Czech Republic facilities. I helped to train the staff on some of the best practice used here in the US, as well as support inventory counts and reconciliation. As Duke continued to grow into Asia and Latin America I continue to grow with it and accept new challenges of doing business internationally. I work with a great group of people here in the US, as well as all of our locations around the world. We support one another, and challenge one another to do more and look for the next opportunity to be better than the one before. I look forward to many more exciting years and new opportunities at Duke.
Warranty Manager: 7 Years
Having spent the majority of my career in customer service and QSR management, I was looking for a more grounded work environment. As Duke’s Warranty Manager, I am able to apply my knowledge and experience as an “end user”, to better work with and assist our customers with their warranty requests. The comradery among everyone who works at Duke is wonderful. Working here gives you a true sense of belonging to what we like to refer to as “the Duke family”. I have been Duke’s Warranty Manager for 7 years, and look forward to the daily challenges and fast paced environment that comes with this position. I supervise the evaluation and processing of all Duke warranty claims, throughout the world. Life in Warranty is extremely rewarding and fast paced. As an integral part of the Technical Service Department, our Team works closely to provide our Customers with the best Service and quickest resolution to their needs possible. Whether the equipment is in or out of warranty, we strive to assist everyone, regardless of the issue. For us, truly the Customer is our first priority, something we are very proud of and rarely see in this day and age!
